12.2.1 Nasal Congestion
Sympathomimetics
Xylometazoline 0.1% drops/spray (TLS Green)
- Nasal drops licenced from 6 years-11 years as 0.05% and 0.1% from 12 to 17 years, nasal spray from 12 years (0.1%)
12.2.2 Nasal inflammation, nasal polyps and rhinitis
Corticosteroids
Beclometasone nasal spray (TLS Green)
Betamethasone 0.1% drops (TLS Green)
Mometasone nasal spray (TLS Green)
Alternatives: (TLS Blue)
Budesonide nasal spray
Specific indication: (TLS Blue)
Fluticasone furoate spray (Avamys®)
- Fluticasone nasal spray may be used in patients who experience adverse effects whilst using beclometasone nasal preparations.
