Principles of Management

Please see NICE Guidance 1.7 Care of babies with prolonged jaundice.

NBT

Refer to the Outpatient Guideline for the Management of Prolonged Jaundice in Neonates (including Referral Form) provided by North Bristol NHS Trust.

For babies born at Southmead referrals should be made on the NBT Prolonged Jaundice Referral Form (also available on EMIS) and emailed to paediatricoutpatients@nbt.nhs.uk

Refer to the clinical guidance on Jaundice: Neonatal Jaundice for newborns below 15 days old or  Jaundice: Prolonged Neonatal Jaundice  for babies over 15 days old, provided by Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

For babies born at St Michael's or home delivery, referrals should be made on the referral form and emailed to neonatologyadministration@uhbw.nhs.uk
