The Vascular Hot clinic runs in Southmead Hospital Monday-Friday 9:00-13:00 and is set up to review people with conditions that sit within time dependent pathways, namely:
Chronic limb threatening ischaemia (CLTI)
Symptomatic carotid artery stenosis
People with diabetes and a new foot problem should be managed via the pathway set out Diabetes Foot Care (Remedy BNSSG ICB).
Access to the clinic is via eRS to the Vascular Surgery Triage service (daily triage Mon-Fri) or by discussion with the on call vascular registrar (Call via NBT switchboard 0117 9505050 or contact via referapatient.org).
CLTI – people with tissue loss and signs of infection in the foot, or with symptoms of systemic infection have a limb or life-threatening condition. They should be referred as emergencies.
