Tier 1/2 CYP Weight Management Services - (DRAFT)

Checked: 01-07-2024 by Jenny Henry Next Review: 30-06-2026

Overview

Tier 1 and 2 weight management services across BNSSG are commissioned by local councils and funding for these is often limited. As a result, options available vary across the region and local pathways are subject to change and may have restricted places

Generally, children should have received Tier 1 or Tier 2 support prior to a referral for Tier 3 and 4 services, although there may be exceptions. If a child has specific needs, and criteria are met, then the Care of Childhood Obesity (COCO) clinic at the Bristol Children's Hospital may be an option for some children and offers Tier 3/4 services.

More general advice and support can be found in the national resources and information section below.
