Cancer Enhanced Supportive Care (CESC) - SERVICE CLOSED

Overview

The Cancer Enhanced Supportive Care (CESC) service is now live at UHBW.

CESC will see patients with incurable Upper GI and Hepatobiliary cancers who undertake palliative intent systemic anti-cancer treatments. CESC is a multi-disciplinary team of medics, CNS's, AHPs, dietetians and more, who work alongside cancer specialists. The service aims to prevent and manage the adverse effects of cancer and cancer treatment holistically.

Referral

Referral to the service is made via the treating oncology teams.

All correspondence from the service will be copied to the patient, GP and oncologist.

Out of hours concerns with patients known to the service should be managed within existing pathways i.e. Oncology Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC): 0117 342 2011, 111, 999 or St Peter's Hospice or Weston Hospice care advice line as appropriate.
