All aspects of abortion care should be delivered in a respectful, empathetic, and sensitive manner that is person-centred and recognises the pregnant person as the decision maker. Healthcare professionals should not allow their personal beliefs to delay access to abortion services (1).
The termination of pregnancy service in BNSSG is provided by the University Hospital Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) Pregnancy Advisory Service (PAS) in partnership with Marie Stopes International (MSI).
Patients requesting termination of pregnancy can self refer to this service.
Please refer to the BNSSG Pathway for Abortion Care (pdf doc) for full details.
